Full-times

August 2023 - October 2023

Studio Associate

After graduating from polytechnic, I decided to gain more life and work experiences before continuing on my university studies. When I joined, WeTuft was a 6-months-old startup in a niche sector, hence featuring many new challenges.  I learned how to tuft, and gained insight into working both in a studio/retail hybrid shop and a mall. From participating in SOC development to guiding new staff, WeTuft provided me unique experiences.

Internships

Mar 2021 - Jul 2021

Special Projects Officer

As an Intern at SKM, I was placed in the education sector. As such, I involved myself in projects ranging from preschool to university settings. It trained my adaptability as vastly different approaches are required when creating content for the populations. For the kids, I worked in simplifying stories and adding learning points for children, and brainstormed digital campaigns that would attract young adults.

Due to the pandemic, many joined and left SKM. During period of low manpower, I was assigned to help familiarise incoming interns with their work. My leadership skills were tapped upon, and I soon found myself guiding them and contributing in discussions and meetings.

Overall, this experience allowed me to explore the education sector, increase my soft skills, and apply my knowledge of psychology in areas I thought impossible, such as in storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Kindsville Times, & A-OK!: Brainstorming newsletters' content

  • Kindsville Gallery Tour

    • Acted as: Arts and Craft facilitator, Safe Distancing Officer, Storyteller.

  • Logistics & Admin Work: Stocktaking and data entry

  • Workshops:

    • Facilitated and overlooked the Friends of Singa and Kindsville Badge Awards workshops.

    • Designed EDMs for Parenting Talks.

  • Anti-Cyber Bullying Initiative

    • Analysed the report and findings from pilot run.

    • Suggested improvements for partnering companies.
