National Cyberwellness Advocacy Challenge
During the National Cyberwellness Advocacy Challenge (NCAC), I represented my secondary school in attending workshops alongside 3 other teammeates. In the sessions, we learned about the implications of social media, and was tasked to create bridge between generations for parents to understand their children's online activities.
To do so, we surveyed our the parents of our school's student population, totalling up to 700 responses. Following that, we analysed the findings and created a video illustrating the possible threats of social media. From filming to editing, the team often stayed back till 7pm.

On Parents-Teachers' Meeting Day, I presented to the audience a deck of PowerPoint slides raising awareness of cyberwellness and the video.

Finally, we submitted all our responses, slides, and video to the competition's host.
At the end of the competition, my group was awarded the Gold Medal for the secondary-tertiary school division.
NCAC provided opportunities to step out of my comfort zone. As someone that is used to working behind the curtains in group projects, I was able to step out of my comfort zones and interact with people from different demographics.
I widened my perspectives, become more comfortable with recruiting strangers, and increased my confidence. Most of all, I've gained a deep value for teamwork, appreciating the contributions and banters of my group members.
