An Instagram Campaign
Dec 2021 - Jan 2021
Project Cordate

On Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In the Managing Disabilities module, I worked together with my classmates to create an Instagram campaign, @projectcordate, to raise awareness and dispel misconceptions on autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

"Project Cordate"
During the account branding, I contributed the name and logo of Project Cordate.
“Cordate” means “heart-shaped”, and we hope to spread love to everyone. The logo is rainbow-coloured, representing the diversity of persons with ASD and signals hope.

After that, we collated credible sources on ASD, splitting the information into bite-sized pieces fitting for social media. The information was then placed presented on aesthetic-looking posts that the team designed with Canva, which were released on a regular schedule.
Aside from that, we held Instastory quizzes on to engage the audience and test the efficacy of knowledge conveyed.
We reached out to 448 accounts, with 70% of the Instatories answered correctly.
Project Cordate allowed me to understand the process behind a social media campaign. It tested my skills in engaging with the digital audience and exposed the amount of work required behind a single, planned post.
